Windsor Village

Windsor Village is a historic neighborhood in the heart of Los Angeles. Los Angeles officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-largest city in the United States, the most populous city in the U.S. state of California. Nicknamed the City of Angels, Los Angeles is a global city with a diverse economy in entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research.

The Ebell of Los Angeles, a women’s club, is located in the neighborhood. It includes a clubhouse building and the renowned 1,270-seat Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Among other events, the Ebell was the site of aviator Amelia Earhart’s last public appearance before attempting the 1937 around-the-world flight during which she disappeared. It is also the place where Judy Garland was discovered while performing as Baby Frances Gumm in the 1930s.
